Baltic Shorts is a film collection containing the freshest short films from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Six animation and fiction films will be made available for industry professionals to experience the brightest and freshest new films from the region. Many of the films are work-in-progress or just recently finished and looking for distribution, sales opportunities or festival premieres.

Aiste, a bright transgender woman from Vilnius, Lithuania, decides to leave the Catholic Church. To do so, she must return to her little hometown and meet the local priest. Once a firm believer, Aiste now struggles with the Church’s position towards people like her. She confronts the priest she knew in childhood. Since Aiste now identifies as a woman and the priest has partially lost his vision, their encounter becomes complicated on multiple levels.

And when the war is already in the yard, drawing the curtains won't help, and it may happen that the healthiest advice comes from where you wouldn't expect it - for example, from a parrot with life experience.

Each and every illuminated window of the nine-storey building represents a world of its own. Behind them live people with unique histories, daily struggles and dreams about the future. Everyone has constructed their own mini universe, in accordance with their identity, but all under the same roof, the same megastructure – The House. The film is an observation of the urban human being, exploring the contrast between us as part of a society, and as identity-seeking individuals.
